名词复数（规则变化和不规则变化）
多数名词加 -s；有的要改拼写（-ies、-ves）；少数不规则（man → men）。

中文说“三本书”，“书”字不变；英语里名词本身要变：one book，three books。两个或两个以上的可数名词都要用复数。
加 -s 和 -es
最常见
大多数名词直接加 -s：
book → books, cat → cats, apple → apples
以 s、ss、sh、ch、x、z 结尾的，加 -es：
bus → buses, glass → glasses, dish → dishes
watch → watches, box → boxes
一部分以 o 结尾的也加 -es：
potato → potatoes, tomato → tomatoes
（photo → photos，piano → pianos 只加 -s）
y 和 f 结尾
要改拼写
辅音字母 + y：把 y 变成 i，再加 -es：
city → cities, baby → babies, story → stories
元音字母 + y：直接加 -s：
boy → boys, key → keys, day → days
很多以 f / fe 结尾的词变成 -ves：
knife → knives, leaf → leaves, wife → wives
也有直接加 -s 的：
roof → roofs, chief → chiefs, belief → beliefs

复数名词不加冠词
说“一类东西”时，用复数名词，前面不加 a / the：
Cats are cute.
猫都很可爱。
Watches are expensive.
手表很贵。
不可数名词
没有复数
water, music, advice, information, furniture, news
这些词不加 -s，谓语用 is 不用 are：
The news is good.
这是个好消息。
The music is beautiful.
这音乐很好听。
